This week we had the opportunity to learn more about nonverbal communication and the features that make up this kind of communication. This is very important about us and our lives, because it's part of our daily routine, the way that we talk, communicate, share ideas, experiences with other people etc. In itself nonverbal communication contains different behaviors like posture, clothing, eye contact or engagement, facial expressions, our vocal qualities and others. We could see all of this things in the video that we saw in class, and we were really surprised by the way that these important personalities of global area like politician, actor and actresses, presidents of The United States and other people from different areas, showed up in public, the way that they walked, talked to each other, moves that they made with their body, hands or eyes and through these elements we could understand what they wanted to express and show indeed, but couldn't say due to different reasons. I think that this communication is the most important in our life, because we express a lot of things that we can't say and we want to say. That's why we need to be very careful during the time that we speak and the same time we use gestures, because if we say something and we show something totally opposite of that then we can be misunderstood and the topic loses its meaning and importance. Personally I'm going to try to balance this elements of communication in the future, and assure to not make mistakes.

ReplyDeleteDear Zana,
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with your post , ecpecially with the beginning where you write about the importance of the nonverbal communication, beacuase it is really part of our daily rutine and I wanted to connect this with your two last sentence of your post where you say that we need to be more careful about our gestures because we can be misunderstanding and this is very true. In the end I hope that now that we have learned a lot about it we will not make a lot of mistakes with our nonverbal communication and I hope that in the future our verbal communication will be in line and balance with our nonverbal communication, so the chance for us to be misunderstanding will be less.
All the best ,
Arlinda
